Hello Readers, and welcome to the first article under the DubLL media umbrella

I can’t tell you how long I’ve been hoping for this project to come to fruition.

With November now upon us and many of us spending much more time inside to avoid those frigid temperatures, so why not bundle up in bed and binge away the day with some good Anime?

Well, if that’s your objective I have a small handful of shows to watch while you warm up and keep cozy.

  • Samurai Champloo

Join Fuu Kasumi, a clumsy but sweet teahouse waitress who was living a normal life in alternative Edo Japan, until she spills a drink on the wrong customer, and now a group of samurai won’t leave her alone, that is until she calls on Mugen a fellow shop patron who defeats them swiftly however in the chaos the son of a local magistrate is killed, with death on the agenda for Mugen, Fuu breaks him free and adventure ensues.

  • 3-Gatsu No Lion

Middle school Shogi prodigy Rei Kiriyama is an elite level player, but not all is bright and happy in his life.

He lives alone, spending his days mainly as a shut in when he isn’t playing Shogi, and doesn’t take very good care of himself, until one day he meets Akira, Momo and Hinata, three sisters who end up becoming friends and a surrogate family for Kiriyama and help him see his life in a better light.

  • Dr. Stone

After a mysterious light engulfs the planet and turns everyone into stone for hundreds of years, Senkuu the son of a scientist, somehow breaks free after watching the world become an overgrown wasteland around him, soon he learns how he breaks free and frees his friend Taijuu they start to explore and rebuild the world that they once knew from the ground up.

This show has a very heavy scientific influence and multiple seasons, so if you’re looking for a longer-term commitment try out this one.

  • Death Parade

After death most people go to heaven or hell, but for a select few people they get sent to Quindecim, but how does one get in?

Die at the same time as a partner, running the bar top  is Decim a mysterious individual who passes judgement on those who enter and challenges them to dangerous games with reincarnation on the line if the participants win, and a trip to the void of everlasting death awaiting those who lose; with such high stakes it’s hard not to get invested and be craving the next episode as soon as the previous one ends.

  • Detroit Metal City

If you like rock music and shenanigans this one is right up your alley.

DMC is an insanely popular indie music band whose lead singer Johannes Krauser II is a crass and outlandish being who has risen from the pits of hell itself to bring the world to its knees, unknown to the general public is the fact that in his spare time Krauser, who is actually Souichi Negishi is a simple, quiet college grad, who enjoys taking life slow and listening to pop music.

  • One Piece

Ok so I know One Piece is super popular and this might be considered a cop out to some, but I mean what better way is there to lose hours of the freezing winter days then by watching Luffy go on his quest to be the king of pirates and with so many characters, sub stories and arcs to consume there really is no comparison to One Piece, it has both quality and quantity of episodes.

So step on deck and check out One Piece if you haven’t already, or if you’ve drifted away why not correct course and come back to arguably the most popular long running anime of modern times.
