What’s Next for the Oilers after Kane Injury?

With Evander Kane sustaining a horrific wrist injury during a game against the Lightning earlier this week, the hockey world has been waiting to see not only when he will return, but what the Oilers will do to fill his roster spot, of course nothing is definitive yet, but obviously Kane won’t be returning to the ice any time soon.

So, will the Oilers look to trade to fill the now open roster slot?

According to league insiders, likely no, the Oilers are in a tough cap situation and will likely look inside their own organization to give some other skater a shot to earn at least a temporary shot at NHL stardom.

Anything can happen in the NHL, and we’ll have to wait and see how this situation plays out, but don’t expect to wait long for the conclusion or at least next chapter of this story.

We at DubLL Media hope Evander Kane has a safe and healthy recovery and hope to see him back soon.
